Blix Krieg updated…

February 11th, 2007

Hi Everyone,

I’ve just uploaded a new version of Blix Krieg (2.1.2) which overcomes problems with the sidebar (missing blogroll headers and recent posts) that slipped through my previous upgrade.

The new version should install directly over the top of existing Blix Krieg installations, and can be downloaded from the usual place – http://www.utheguru.com/blix-krieg-info/

Ciao,

TheDuck

    Hi Indonesia!

    Thankyou for your comment.

It looks like you may have some serious formatting problems with that particular website?

I would suggest removing the google search bar, as that is what appears to be ‘breaking’ the style in your case.

    All the best,

    TheDuck

    Hey Duckman!

thanks for your mail. I manually putted the blogroll header into my sidebar last night, but now I have another problem, which is: There are no entries in my archive page: I also cant see my recent posts in the sidebar at all.
I tried to search for the recommended Blix Krieg (2.1.2) on your site, but coulndt find it. Or is it the one you posted on my blog?

    best regards, chris

    Hi Chris –

Whoa – it sounds like you have some problems there – I’d suggest a clean install of the theme – remove all previous versions of the theme, and download the new one from here –

For anyone else that is looking, the newest version of BlixKrieg is always located at http://www.utheguru.com/blix-krieg-info/

    Al the best,

    Allrighty then!
It works like the old blix versions I had. thanks for the help duck. Regarding the mail I send you: there was an invisible archive page somewhere in the navigation (below home in fact). This bugger set the whole sidebar a few px downwards.
Now lets see how much of the content of my old blog is worthy putting it back. Crikey!

    Regards, chris

By the way everyone – it’s always possible to see the latest developmental beta version of BlixKrieg in action at beta.utheguru.com – generally I appreciate people having a look around that site and reporting any errors they find.

    Cheers,

Love the Theme, TheDuck! And ah…I gotta ask, you posted on my blog (which as you can see is NOT ready for public viewing, heh) on Sunday. Just hours after I had downloaded and installed your theme. How in all hells name did you know how to find me? Heh. Just curious

In other news, I’m stuck with a ton of problems, but I’m not CSS savvy, and for the most part I’m sure the problems are mostly due to my ignorance. However, if I do have an actual problem with the Theme, what should I do for support?

Again, thanks for an awesome theme!

    OK i will fix this
    Thanks anyway

    Hi Pandora!

I’m always happy to help if it is a blix krieg specific problem..

Why not elaborate a bit more on what your problems are and we’ll see if we can help?

As for how I found you, one of the great things about wordpress is that it pings technorati etc whenever you post a new comment on your blog.. I also get pinged by them to let me know that someone new is using my theme, so I’ll generally go and have a look at new pages to see how things are going if I have time 🙂

    Cheers,

    TheDuck

I love this theme — but I have a header image — that is wide and short, and would definitely fit about the menu bar (you can see it at http://www.susiej.com). Can I insert it into the code, and where would I do it?

Also, is it possible to put google ad links across the header above the menu bar?
    Thanks
