Major Blix Krieg Release is in the offing…

Hiya everyone –
I’ve finally found that round tuit, and I’m now putting together my ideas for the next MAJOR release of my Blix based wordpress theme, BlixKrieg.
I’ve had a few suggestions about things that people would like in this next release.
Jeff Battersby (www.reyespoint.com) has suggested that he’d like support for ‘Asides’ (Jeff, I’ve had a look at Matt’s page and I still can’t really understand what they are – could you please explain to me?).
Support for sidebar widgets is also at the top of my list.
Drop down menus, of the same style as can be seen on Joni’s new Horse Logos site is also something I’ve been strongly considering, just thinking about how best to implement it.
So folks, it’s over to you – any readers out there with suggestions? I’m keen to hear them.

Asides are simply headless posts that are formatted slightly differently than a standard post. Almost like a bulleted list but designed to be used as posts that don’t have the “weight” of a full-on post. Matt uses these more often than he uses normal posts. Have a look at his site (www.photomatt.net) and you’ll see that 7 out of the last 8 posts have no title, they just have a funky little bar that runs the length of the post.
So, if I want to direct my readers to your site with out having the “pressure” of thinking up a fancy title and feeling as if I need to create a post that lives up to that title, I can simply assign my post to my Asides category and pop a note on my blog that says, “just finished doing business with a Duck from Australia called, as chance would have it, ‘theDuck.’ Does great work at salt mine prices, you should check him out…”
Asides are just a way to post something short, simple, sweet, but unworthy of full post status.

One more thing… Love the Horse Logos menu idea. Resolves a million of my Pages+length of menu bar issues.
